International expansion is an exciting step in your growth but can be very costly, both financially and with your time. The US has been identified as the main target market for the majority of our founders.

Working with our partners, we have designed six key in person workshops to help de-risk and accelerate your growth and success into the US.

Each of the interactive sessions is designed to give you practical tools to speed up your entry into the US and demystify common myths and challenges.  Led by Silicon Valley experts, the workshops will give you honest advice to ensure you can compete and thrive in this new and fast moving market.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the deadline for signing up?

The deadline to sign up for July’s cohort has now passed. There will be multiple cohorts running a year, so if you are still interested, please apply as you will be considered for the September cohort.

Where are the workshops held?

The workshops will be in person / virtual depending on the makeup of the cohort. 

After application, when will I receive workshop information?

As soon as you sign up to the workshop you will receive a confirmation email of your application. We will share the schedule with you so you can confirm your commitment.

Due to the high application rate for only 15 places - we will come back to you to advise if you have been successful. We will be putting together multiple groups to try to accommodate as many applicants as possible. Any workshop materials will be shared one week before the start date.

Who is this workshop for?

Any UK scaleup planning to expand into the US in the next 12 - 18 months. We will select companies who are export ready - that is, have the resources to expand, have customers and/or employees in the US (not mandatory) and need support from Tech Nation.

Are the workshops for specific sub-sectors?

No, the US has huge market opportunities for UK tech companies across many industries. We will put companies at a similar stage in the same cohorts to ensure you get the most out of the sessions but this is tech vertical agnostic.

These sessions are designed to give you practical advice so you leave the workshop with more knowledge and probably more questions! International growth into a hyper competitive market like the US is not easy - we are here to offer you tools to make the right decision for your business.

Who will be delivering the workshops?

Tech Nation has an experienced international team and a network of experts who have worked with UK tech companies to expand globally.

The workshops will be delivered by a curated group of experts, entrepreneurs who have done this journey before you and specialists. We ensure you are not sold to or have death by powerpoint! But you will get practical information, we encourage open conversations and questions so you get the most out of each session.
