The ‘skills gap’ in tech threatens to stunt the growth of the sector. There simply aren’t enough skilled workers ready to fill the demand for jobs both in the UK and around the world.

While Sunderland’s Geek Talent can’t directly overhaul the education system, it’s making life easier for employers by bringing data together from around the web to make finding their next key employee easier. That data is then shared with employment and education services to help them understand the current market.

Having started to make an impact in the UK, Geek Talent is eyeing the USA, Canada and Brazil as its next markets. But wherever they’re working, as long as they help to tackle the technology skills gap, CEO Dominic Murphy will be a happy man.
