We’re delighted to announce another new addition to the Tech City UK family, as Joe Scarboro joins us as Head of Entrepreneur Relations.
Joe has an extensive background in the world of startup companies and culture, including as a co-founder of tech community and events organisation, 3beards. Joe is a mentor at Startup Institute London and a board member at Codeclub, as well as being a judge as Mass Challenge and Innotribe. Joe complements his experience in the early stage tech world with his previous background as CFO for a group of oil companies.
In his role as Head of Entrepreneur Relations at Tech City UK, Joe will have the critical task of continuing to build out our relationships with the digital business community across the UK, including our work with clusters across the country from London to Belfast to Edinburgh.
On his move to Tech City UK, Joe comments “With 3beards in good hands, it’s time for me to draw on my experience and scale up my contribution to the community. As the Head of Entrepreneur Relations at Tech City UK, I’m going to be able to reach a lot more people and boost the resources I can draw on to continue to help grow and expand the London and UK startup environment.”
Tech City UK CEO Gerard Grech says “There is incredible momentum in the UK digital sector and I’m excited to have Joe join the Tech City UK team as Head of Entrepreneur Relations. As such a valued member of the tech community, Joe will bring strong grass roots startup insight and operational experience that will help us continue building on our programmes portfolio as well as the Government’s policy landscape that’s transforming the UK’s digital entrepreneurship culture.”
