Tech North’s 24 jobs in 24 hours campaign is now live – two dozen amazing junior tech roles across the North of England. Apply and you could be offered a job in a week.
There’s a skills shortage in tech. Over the past three years there have been 700,000 job vacancies in tech across the North of England – the highest of any sector in the region. Not a week goes by without an entrepreneur telling me that they are struggling to hire the talent that will accelerate their business to the next level. Often companies are just looking for junior staff members with the right soft skills and a positive attitude – the technical training and know how will come with the job.
These roles are open to school and university leavers, plus those that may be looking for a career change.

Who’s involved?

We’ve lined up some of the North’s most exciting tech companies, and they’re all looking for junior developers…

So this is your opportunity. We’ve lined up 24 of the most exciting tech jobs from across the North of England, many of which require no or little prior technical experience. Forget boring cover letters. Instead applicants are being asked to give five reasons they would be a great employee. Applications close Monday 26th, and interviews will take place over Whatsapp or Skype during the 24 hours of Tuesday 27th March.

Why tech in the North?

There’s a lot to be proud of in the North. We kickstarted the industrial revolution, led the women’s suffrage movement and created the first computer… to name a few. We’re famous for having a finger on the pulse, and we need to keep it that way. The key? Forging ahead in digital. Check out the roles here.
