Announcing the startups set to pitch at Northern Stars in Newcastle

Fresh from the Liverpool heat where Ruler Analytics came out on top, Northern Stars 2017 moves on to Newcastle this Thursday.

10 startups will pitch for a fast-tracked place to the Grand Final next month.

Who’s pitching at Northern Stars Newcastle

Here’s who you’ll hear from at the event:

Chatta – “A unique and proven teaching method, underpinned by an approach which maximises learning outcomes for pupils of all ages.”

Jigtalk – “Through a gamified edge-of-your seat experience, JigTalk, ‘the blind dating game’, covers its users’ faces in 16 jigsaw pieces.”

Kraken – “Tools for engineering and construction that are centred around the people.”

Maintainpay – “Fammily allows single, separated and divorced parents to easily manage household budgets and securely, request, make, receive, track and manage communications, child maintenance and expenses payments and contributions from the non-resident parent, extended family, friends and charities.”

Northern Bear Films – “Modyst is a unique platform that disrupts the way independent films are distributed and consumed globally.”

Proforecast – “ProForecast is the most comprehensive and user-friendly cloud-based forecasting tool available.“

Shopappy – “ShopAppy revitalises towns across the UK with a simple to use platform that enables customers to browse and buy products from local shops and businesses and collect their shopping in the daytime or evening.”

SkillsForge – “SkillsForge automates and evidences the effectiveness of key processes within universities across the globe.”

Technically Compatible – “We help tech recruiters to make better hires and help CTOs to build better teams by giving them a 360-degree view of potential IT hires via our skills assessment platform.”

Tipll – “Have you ever been to a city and not known where to go out for a drink? We allow you to filter and scan for bars using augmented reality allowing you to create the perfect solution based on your drink and bar preference which can then be shared.”
