Opinsta’s enterprise apps give global brands a business boost
Opinsta is on a mission to improve customer experience, drive employee engagement and boost operational efficiency for some of the world’s biggest brands.
It has developed solutions for household names – including British Airways, Virgin Trains and Emirates. Cofounder and CEO Raj Verma says that the business is now focusing on continuing its growth and developing deeper relationships with clients.
We spoke to Verma to find out more.
What problem are you trying to solve?
Raj Verma: Many larger organisations see a disconnect between management and frontline employees, and they often still use legacy systems for operational functions. This difficulty in effective communication across large numbers of employees can lead to inefficiencies, demotivated employees and unhappy customers.
Having spent a great deal of time understanding how large-scale organisations operate and the issues they face – whether that be a HR issue, operational problem or legacy IT system – we have found that many suffer from the same problems.
Many of these organisations assume that implementing solution-driven technology into the company will be timely, costly and cause a lot of internal upheaval. Through our range of licensable solutions, Opinsta can ensure seamless integration and rapid commercial benefits.
What makes you different from the competition?
What sets us apart is our focus on the main pain points for all large organisations. Our solutions fall into three categories: Engage, Experience, and Operations. This solid foundation coupled with our collaborative and agile approach allows us to adapt solutions perfectly to work across an entire business rather than just one isolated area.

Have you had any investment?
The company has raised approximately £2.1m in funding.
What is it like being a tech company in Birmingham?
We are very proud to be from the Midlands – it’s brilliant to see growing tech companies coming up outside of London – but for Opinsta our business is a global one. Our head office is Birmingham-based, but we have a development office in Romania and an office in Dubai. Although our client base is now global – spanning the UK, Europe, and Middle East – we are committed to supporting the tech scene in 0ur region.
What’s in store for Opinsta in the future?
In addition to our growth plans, the company intends to close a further large round of funding in 2019. This will support our expansion and see a significant increase in headcount. We are especially excited to recruit in Birmingham given the amount of local talent in the area. Our solutions have no geographical or industry boundaries and our ambition is as big as our passion. As such, we will continue to grow our business while delivering real value to our clients.
