Digital skills crisis pinching your business? Struggling to hire junior developers? Tech North is running a recruitment campaign to solve just that and get some great national exposure for your company…
I was lucky enough to help launch the Northern Digital Skills Strategy earlier this year. As part of the strategy it was recommended to run a Northern digital jobs marketing campaign, highlighting the benefits of digital job across our region to those that may have not considered it. This is happening, and we want companies needing new junior recruits, with little to no experience, to get involved.
We’ve partnered with Citypress and Europe’s biggest social media marketing agency Social Chain to run a recruitment exercise to attract school and university leavers to the Northern Tech sector. Social Chain will be leveraging their millions of followers to promote the benefits of life in the North of England and a career in tech.
But this isn’t only promotion, we will be running a recruitment drive as part of the campaign too. During the 24 hours we will be filling 24 junior developer roles across the region – 24 jobs in 24 hours. The hiring process will take place entirely over the types of platforms that they’re used to – think Whatsapp, Skype and FaceTime. Forget paper CVs and covering letters.
Best bit? It’s entirely free. The recruitment and exposure of your firm to millions will not cost a penny. All we ask is a commitment to try and hire a junior technical role on the day.
