We’ve launched the Tech Nation 2018 survey! We’re calling on UK startups and entrepreneurs to take part in our 5 minute survey on the digital tech sector in your area.

Tech Nation is a groundbreaking series of reports on the UK’s digital tech ecosystem, providing the most comprehensive insight into the UK’s thriving digital tech sector.Over the last three years -through quantitative and qualitative data – it has captured the strength, depth and breadth of activity across the UK. It has revealed the scale of the digital tech sector, captured its growth, and – crucially – developed an understanding of the characteristics of the communities driving it, as well as the national and regional challenges and opportunities. The reports have been well received around the world, with Tech Nation becoming a flagship go-to source of information into the exceptional performance of the UK’s digital clusters, the envy of Europe and the world.

For the 2018 survey, we’re asking about the regional tech sectors, from the people who know best, the local tech communities in every region of the UK. The survey will give a greater voice than ever to the tech communities on the ground, and provide us with an even more in-depth look at how the digital economy is evolving across an ever-more connected country.

We have set the standard high, but we hope to make Tech Nation 2018 the best report yet. To do this, we need your help. Last year the survey had 2,700 responses, an increase from 1,000 the year before. This year we’re hoping for even more responses, and to hear from all tech communities in the UK, to allow us to provide the most up to date and insightful data on the UK tech community in 2018.

We want to hear from you on topics such as diversity of the tech sector in your local area, on opportunities for high growth businesses and the quality of education and training. It only takes 5 minutes!

Tech businesses, academics, investors and other members of the ecosystem, can complete the survey in a few minutes. The report will be released in Spring/Summer 2018, with many of the companies taking part in the survey, acting as case studies in the finished report. The report helps businesses, investors, corporates and policy-makers to better understand the conditions for success in UK tech, and make informed decisions on the future of companies, regions and the industry as a whole.

After completing the survey, you will be entered into a charity draw. The winner of this draw can choose a charity from a shortlist to receive a £1,000 donation from Tech City UK.

The deadline for Tech Nation 2018 survey completions is 2nd February 2018.

Have your say, and make your voice heard.
