The Net Zero X programme is designed to support the growth of climate tech companies with high-emissions reduction and exponential potential. The aim of the programme is to reduce the carbon funding gap, counter the climate tech ‘valley of death’ and connect climate tech founders to investors, corporates, partners, policy-makers and other stakeholders. This will help shape the ecosystem founders need to succeed.
Currently, only 25% of total funding raised in climate tech is being channelled into the technologies that hold 81% of the total emissions reduction potential required to achieve net zero. We are therefore very excited to be launching our new Net Zero X programme in partnership with PwC. Companies will benefit from Tech Nation and PwC’s expertise, investor & corporate network, and mentorship.
Net Zero X is free to join, and we don’t take an equity stake in your business.
Net Zero X is now accepting applications. If you’re a later-stage climate tech scaleup, operating across key sectors – this is the programme for you. The deadline to apply is at 4pm, on the 28th June 2022.
We are looking for the UK’s most promising later-stage climate tech scaleups operating across key sectors, including agriculture & food systems, manufacturing, construction, built environment, carbon removals, energy & electricity, and transport & mobility.
Criteria for applicants:
Be a climate tech scaleup, directly or indirectly contributing to greenhouse gas emission reduction
Have grant funding or investment between Series A and pre-IPO
Insight sessions delivered by later-stage founders, focused on key scaling challenges, including investment, talent, product, operations, international expansion, policy & regulatory markets, due diligence, M&As and more
Meet-ups to connect you to our investor, corporate, partner, and policy-maker network.
A professional startup coach to help you develop your leadership skills, strengthen peer connections and build stress resilience. You will also have the opportunity to be mentored by some of our leading climate tech advisors.
Get to know your peers and crowdsource solutions to your specific scaling challenges. Also, connect to Tech Nation’s prestigious alumni network.
Why should you join the programme?
After the continued success of the Net Zero programme, now in its third year, the need, evidence and results of the programme has encouraged us to build a bespoke programme to support later-stage climate tech companies as well. The founders we’ve supported so far say it best:
“Being part of Tech Nation’s Net Zero cohort not only gave us access to a community of like-minded peers, but it helped put us on the map. It was a huge moment of recognition and celebration for our team. We were part of a group of Climate-tech companies invited to Glasgow during COP26 and since joining the programme, we have successfully completed a Crowdfund campaign securing £2.4million to scale our thin-film solar solutions for both commercial and domestic customers. We have featured in many leading publications – and being selected for Tech Nation’s Net Zero programme absolutely contributed to establishing our credibility as an ambitious and innovative tech scaleup.”
Jo Parker-Swift, CEO & Co-founder, Solivus
“We’ve been involved in a number of programmes over the years and Tech Nation Net Zero really stood out for its quality of people and content. It offers excellent support, advice, introductions, networking and validation for a growing business and an on-going opportunity to participate in a vibrant and enjoyable ecosystem.”
Phill Davies, CEO & Co-founder, Magway
