The D&I case for investment

Founders grappling with the financial impact of D&I should consider two things: 1) fundraising is becoming intrinsically linked to Diversity & Inclusion metrics; and 2) scaleups can actually save money by investing in D&I efforts. This is because more inclusive work environments lead to reductions in staff churn and recruitment costs (see our HR & People section). At the same time, inclusivity leads to increased staff morale and therefore boosts productivity. The Harvard Business Review reported that margins for companies with diverse management teams were almost 10% higher when compared with companies that had below-average levels of diversity within their management teams.
