Which types of candidates use this platform to explore roles?

AI and Quantum researchers, engineers, PhD/MSc students and professionals who are seeking UK AI and Quantum opportunities.

What are the criteria for being accepted onto the jobs board?
  • Have or are studying for a PhD/MSc in an AI-related field (e.g. AI, Machine Learning). Ideally have published research papers. 
  • Have a STEM degree and experience at an AI-native company doing research (e.g. as an AI or ML engineer, scientist or researcher) or MLOps. This can include internships at a major AI lab (e.g. OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Mistral, Meta) or Google Brain. 
  • Are an undergraduate in the final year of a STEM degree at a world top 100 university (especially the ones with top AI courses, e.g. MIT, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Toronto, Mila, ETH Zurich, Singapore, Berkeley, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Edinburgh). 
  • Are an undergraduate in the final year of a STEM degree who has taken an internship or fellowship at a major AI lab (e.g. OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Mistral, Meta or Google Brain). 
  • Has a STEM degree and experience at an AI-native company in an MLOps role.  
  • Has a STEM degree and experience as a product manager at an AI-native company. 
  • Has a STEM degree and experience as a CTO or technical manager at an AI native company. 
What will I be asked before registering as a Talent Pool candidate?
  • Job Search Status: Are you actively looking, passively open to opportunities, or not seeking a change.
  • Experience Level: Options range from internship to executive/C-level roles.
  • Work Preferences: You can choose between onsite or hybrid (within the UK).
  • Location Preferences: Optional field to specify preferred UK locations.
  • Personal Details: Includes name, email, LinkedIn profile, and optional personal website or portfolio.
  • You will also be asked to upload your CV.
How long do job postings stay live?

Most listings are available for a few weeks, employers can choose their preferred time frames.

Can I sign up for daily job alerts that fit my preferences?

Yes, you can sign up for daily job alerts that will be emailed to you. 

Is there a matching service?

Not at this time, but talent can search for their own preferences using the filters available. 

FAQs for Companies

How do I post roles?

Companies can choose from 3 ways to list roles:

    • Provide a URL to be scraped for appropriate vacancies (for example your existing company careers page).
    • Or provide up to 5 separate job urls.
    • Or enter up to 5 job details manually.
Will all of my company’s roles be listed if I provide our careers page URL?

No, only those that meet the high-skilled criteria below will be listed.

 

Can I post roles that are available outside of the UK?

No, this platform is for UK based roles only.      

 

How much administration is needed by the company?

Companies can choose their level of engagement, from completely hands-off and letting the jobs board automatically update listed roles, to manually using the admin portal to manage their roles.

Is there specific information needed in job adverts?

No, but roles should be relevant to AI or Quantum and suitable for international talent.

How are jobs removed?

Jobs submitted via URLs will be taken down from the jobs board once they are no longer available at the source link provided. For jobs entered manually, removal will occur based on the expiry date specified in the company’s sign-up form.

Are there analytics or reporting tools?

Analytics are available for companies to review the performance of their job postings on the platform.

Can any company advertise AI roles?

No, roles must be UK-based within the Quantum or AI sectors and suitable for highly skilled international talent. All job opportunities must also be open to international candidates. Detailed criteria for AI roles that will be accepted for the Jobs Boards are outlined below:

  • Research-focused jobs (e.g. AI or Machine Learning engineer/ scientist / researcher). These will usually require a PhD/MSc. 
  • MLOps roles. 
  • AI and Machine Learning engineer/scientist/research internships at PhD/MSc level. 
  • Product manager roles if they require a technical background of at least a STEM degree and experience at an AI-native company. 
  • Technical manager or CTO roles that require a technical background of at least a STEM degree and experience at an AI native company. 
  • Academic research jobs, e.g. Postdoctoral researcher, research assistant/associate, assistant professor, professor. 
  • Technical AI safety roles that require at least a STEM degree (e.g. model evaluation/testing/benchmarking, alignment research, chem/bio research, AI agents). 
  • AI infrastructure engineer, if it requires a STEM degree and experience at an AI native company. Excludes software engineer roles. 
  • Funded PhD studentships open to international applicants. 
  • Research fellowships open to international applicants (e.g. Anthropic Fellowship, Royal Society Newton Fellowship) 
  • Short-term projects or work placements in technical AI roles that require at least a STEM degree. 
Can employers post internships or short-term projects?

Yes.

Is there a cost to post jobs?

No, the service is free to use for UK employers.
