As one of the UK’s most influential industry bodies, we engage government, industry and leading climate-tech founders to meet the scale of this challenge, accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero. On this page you’ll find helpful resources as well as an overview of the key initiatives we are involved in to help counter the climate crisis.
We’ve just undergone a full-scale carbon footprint assessment. Find out more here.

We are committed to achieving net zero by 2030, and have recently measured our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. As part of the SME Climate Hub, through UN Race to Zero and as a Founding member of the Tech Zero Taskforce, we have committed to:
Measuring all our global organisation’s emissions
Including scope 3, and reporting them publicly each year
Publishing more details about how we plan to reach net zero by the end of 2021
Including setting a net zero target date, and an interim target(s).
Becoming a carbon neutral business
We will appoint a member of our executive team to be responsible and accountable for our net zero target.
Communicating our climate commitments in other meaningful ways
We will accomplish this through our programmes, the Tech Zero Taskforce and across our business.
Reporting our progress
We will report to our Board annually, and on our website.
The Net Zero programme
We have launched the first Government-backed Net Zero growth programme, designed to help ambitious, high-growth climate-tech companies scale through access to:
- Long-term investment
- Business Development
- Leadership training
- Insights & education
- Access to talent
- A platform to influence green policies
THE RESULTS: Over the course of the 6 month programme, the investment received by the Net Zero 1.0 cohort has risen from £87.8 million to £131.2 million, while the average headcount has increased by 50%.
2021: An important year
With COP26 being hosted in the UK this year, there will be a key focus on British sustainable innovation. In this critical year, Tech Nation is looking forward to supporting the next cohort of disruptive, game-changing companies driving the UK and the world to significantly reduce global emissions.
