Tech Nation’s application form and portal are being replaced by the formal Home Office Stage 1 Endorsement Application form. From the 4 August, applicants will submit their endorsement application and associated documents directly to the Home Office, these will then be forwarded by the Home Office to Tech Nation.
There is no exact time available, however you should not attempt to use Tech Nation’s application form and portal after 3 August (British Summer Time – BST). Any attempt to use Tech Nation’s application form after 3 August will result in your application being rejected. You must use the Home Office Stage 1 Endorsement Application form after 3 August.
Tech Nation has operated its own application form since 2014, whilst other endorsing bodies for the Global Talent Visa have utilised the Home Office form. This change brings Tech Nation into alignment with the other endorsing bodies for the Global Talent Visa.
Tech Nation’s status as the endorsing body for digital technology application remains unchanged and Tech Nation will continue to process applications as normal both before and after the change in application forms.
The criteria for endorsement will remain the same, though the Home Office reserves the right, in conjunction with Tech Nation, to change the qualifying criteria in future.
Yes, if you submit your completed Home Office Stage 1 and Tech Nation application forms before 4th August, Tech Nation will still process your Tech Nation application form as normal. However you will not be able to access your application due to the portal being closed.
Your Tech Nation application will be inaccessible and you will be directed to complete the newly expanded Home Office form. Tech Nation cannot assist with this matter.
No, access to Tech Nation’s application form and portal will be removed on 3 August. If you have information on the portal that you wish to save, you should download it before 3 August. Note that Tech Nation cannot assist with this matter.
No, Tech Nation or the Home Office will not be able to help applicants retrieve files or past information from the Tech Nation application portal.
As with the existing process, endorsement reviews will continue to be submitted via the application form on Gov.uk and processed by Tech Nation as normal.
The Home Office and Tech Nation have jointly agreed that the Fast Track for accelerator participants is no longer sufficiently effective. Replacement of the Fast Track is under consideration. Tech Nation cannot comment on future process or guidance proposals.
If you have read all of the above and still need help, please direct all enquiries to the Home Office: globaltalentendorsements@homeoffice.gov.uk Tech Nation is unable to respond to enquiries regarding this process change.
